The LBC Gainsbury Award

(formerly the LBC Choreographic Award)

The LBC are pleased to announce that this biennial award to support students’ or emerging choreographers’ classical ballet initiatives is now open to individual early career choreographers working with professional dancers as well as to schools and companies. Our President, Dame Monica Mason will again lead the panel who will review the submissions and make recommendations to the Board of Trustees as to how the Award amounting to £10,000 is distributed.

The winner or winners will be announced at our next AGM in March 2026. It is again expected that the winner(s) would invite LBC Members to observe the choreographic process or a rehearsal.
