Students at Elmhurst, English National, Tring, Central, Ballet Cymru, and Yorkshire Ballet Summer Seminars are among those who have benefited from our sponsorship.

In 2019, a scholarship to attend the Yorkshire Ballet Summer Seminar was awarded to a student from Elmhurst  who would not otherwise have had the opportunity for this kind of intensive training alongside a mix of students from home and abroad.

The 2019 Stanley Hawkins Scholarship to the Ballet Cymru Summer School was awarded to a student from English National Ballet School.

The London Ballet Circle Dame Ninette de Valois Awards for 2019 went jointly to the leading male and female graduates of The Royal Ballet School. The recipients, Ginevra Zambon and Liam Boswell, are now Aud Jebsen Young Dancers with The Royal Ballet.

A student from Tring Park School for the Performing Arts benefited from LBC support in attending the International Summer School run by the Dutch National Ballet School in Amsterdam.

The 2019 Sir Peter Wright Prize for a graduate student at Elmhurst Ballet School was awarded to Andrea Canalicchio who is now dancing with the Moravian National Theatre in the Czech Republic.

In addition, we made donations to six dance organisations which were also designed to support the development of young dancers and community/school outreach activity.

As we are a small charity, we are unfortunately unable to accept individual applications for grants. However, we are actively discussing how we can broaden our reach and assist students who may not already be studying full-time, but who meet the entry criteria, to attend one of the growing range of Summer Schools.
