Visit to Royal Ballet Upper School 2023
The annual full day visit in person to the Royal Ballet Upper School.

We are delighted to announce our annual all-day visit to the Royal Ballet Upper School in Floral Street to watch classes and rehearsals, in conjunction with the Ballet Association.
Royal Ballet Upper School
Wednesday 3 May 2023, 9.30am to 2pm
The programme and timings for the day, as follows :
9.30 - Arrival & sign-in
9.45 – Ballet Class 1 : Pre-professional female students
11.00 – Class ends, 15 min break
11.15 – Ballet Class 2 : 2nd Year female students
12.15 – Class ends, 45 min Lunch
13.00 – Technical rehearsal of Ursula Moreton Emerging Choreographer programme. 2nd Year students rehearsing and staging their own choreographies *
14.00 – Visit draws to a close
* The school says: We would like to offer the rare chance for your guests to sit in on this technical rehearsal. We appreciate this is a slightly different offering than you may be used to but we believe this will be a very insightful experience to spectate.
(Unfortunately the school are unable to provide a Zoom facility this year.)

All monies collected will be donated to The Royal Ballet School to provide additional funds for students.
The programme (along with a zoom link if provided), will be sent in late April. Each in-person attendee’s name will be placed on the LBC list at the school entrance door, for you to gain entry.
If the 9.30am start is too early, it will be possible to join us at break or lunchtime. Please advise if you will be a late arrival. (Please try not to trickle in during a class.) The School politely requests that you leave the premises during the lunch break as they do not have the space to allow us to eat lunch on site. However, if you have any mobility issues, please advise and provision will be made for you to stay on site during the break and seating will be reserved for you in the studio.
