Tuesday 14th June 2022 meet at 10.50 for 11am start

Explore the world's largest concentration of performing arts venues on this walking tour of London's Theatreland ... AND .. support the charitable work of the London Ballet Circle.

Join award winning London Blue Badge Tour Guide (and London Ballet Circle member) Gavin Webb, to discover hidden venues as well as the stories behind the famous theatres en route.  Hear about the history of theatre in London from Shakespeare to how cutting-edge technology is used at the Royal Opera House.  Find out how many of the things we take for granted at the theatre started at the very theatres we shall pass and the origins of some theatrical superstitions.  Naturally there will be some dance links too including seeing how far Margot Fonteyn had to commute!

The tour will last 2½ hours with a 30 minute coffee/comfort break. It is open to members (£15) and their guests (£20).  Proceeds will go to the LBC

The tour will meet outside the EXIT of Covent Garden underground on Tuesday 14th June at 10:50am for a prompt 11am start.  The walk will finish around 1.30pm outside The London Coliseum.
