Rehearsal of Northern Ballet's Gentleman Jack
An invitation to watch the Northern Ballet make the final preparations for Gentleman Jack ahead of the opening night in London.
The LBC is delighted to once again receive an invitation from Northern Ballet for our members and their guests to attend their Technical Stage Rehearsal ahead of their London tour. The ballet tells extraordinary story of Anne Lister - better known as Gentleman Jack choreographed by Annabelle Lopez Ochoa to new live music.

Gentleman Jack Technical Stage Rehearsal
DATE: Tuesday 19th May 2026
TIME: 1.30pm - 4.00pm*
VENUE: Sadler's Wells Theatre, Roseberry Avenue, London EC1R 4TN
Technical rehearsals are the point in the rehearsal process where all the different elements of the show come together. You will see the technical staff work with the dancers to put the finishing touches to the lighting, scene changes, entrances and exits, ahead of the Opening Night that evening. As a working ballet rehearsal, there may well be some stopping and starting, but this is all part of the preparation!
The rehearsal runs from 1.30pm and there will be a short break, should anyone need to leave before the end. The show itself has a running time of 1 hour 45 mins including one 20 min interval.
