VIRTUAL "REHEARSAL WATCH" with BALLET CENTRAL
An invitation to watch the graduate students as they rehearse for their summer 2021 tour
We are delighted that Members have been invited to watch a rehearsal with Ballet Central as the dancers get ready for their 2021 summer tour. We are most likely to be seeing some preparations for Act 1 of Le Corsaire (although the schedule will be decided nearer the time).
Ballet Central was created in 1984 in order for students of The Central School of Ballet to gain performing experience in front of a paying audience. The Company visits towns and cities across the UK every spring/summer, performing in mid-sized theatres and, this year, it will have shows in 11 different venues.
In addition to Act 1 of Le Corsaire, this year’s repertoire features Act 2 of Sir Matthew Bourne’s Highland Fling (image captured by ASH) and Jigsaw by the young choreographer Charlotte Edmonds. Tickets for the tour can be purchased online: https://www.balletcentral.co.uk/book-tickets/
