Visit to Royal Ballet Upper School 2024 … (open to all)

We are delighted to announce our annual all-day visit to the Royal Ballet Upper School in Floral Street to watch the students in classes and rehearsals.  This visit is arranged jointly with The Ballet Association.

DATE:  Wednesday 8 May 2024

TIME:  9.45am to 5.30pm

VENUE:  RB Upper School, 46 Floral Street, Covent Garden, London WC2E 9DA, UK

Full programme:

9.15-9.45       Arrival and registration
9:45-11:00     Pre-professional Men Ballet Class, followed by 
10:45-11:30   Pre-professional Assessment Rehearsals
11:30-11:45   Break
11:45-13:15   2nd Year Ladies Ballet Class
13:15-14:00   Break for lunch
14:00 Return to School ready for class to resume at 14:15
14:15-15:45   All Years Men – Rehearsal of New Creation
15:45-16:00   Break
16:00-17:30   All Years Men – Rehearsal of New Creation

NOTES:
The schedule is fuller and longer than we were expecting.  Please feel free to leave at a break between sessions.
As mentioned before, if you are not able to arrive in time for the first session, please plan to arrive before the start of the one you can attend. 
We are requested to vacate the premises during the lunch break. 

As with all our visits, the funds raised from ticket sales are donated to The Royal Ballet School to provide additional funds for students.

PRACTICALITIES:

Your name will be placed on the LBC registration list, which will be held at the door to gain entry.  

If a 9.45am start is too early for you, it will be possible to join us at break or lunchtime. Please advise [email protected] if you will be a late arrival. 

The School politely requests that we leave the premises during the lunch break as they do not have the space to allow us to eat lunch on site. However, if you have any mobility issues, please advise events @tlbc.org.uk so we can arrange for you to stay on site during the break, and, to reserve seating for you in the studio.

Booking will open on Monday 18 March 2024.  Members may book for themselves and a guest.  Booking will open to non-members after 5 weeks, if there is still availability.
